Between Root & Wing is a place for the things I want to remember—the garden experiments that worked, the ones that absolutely did not, the birds that became familiar faces, things made by hand, lessons learned the hard way, and the ordinary pieces of life that turned out to be worth noticing.
I’m Heather—a gardener, photographer, maker, mother, and chronic noticer of little things. This isn’t a perfectly curated homestead or a how-to manual from someone who has it all figured out. I’m learning as I go, getting my hands dirty, changing my mind, trying again, and usually finding a story somewhere along the way. Somewhere between putting down roots and learning to use our wings, there’s a whole lot of life happening. This is where I keep mine.
