You Start Where You Are

I’ve been writing this introduction in my brain for days. Sometimes I start with introducing who I am. Other times I dive straight into the life factors that I feel led me here.

My true hang-up? Where do you start a story that feels like your whole life has propelled you toward it?

Let me tell you: you start where you are.

You start in the busy, the chaos… days later because you were needed for “XYZ”. Oops.

Just like that, summer is coming to a close and a busy season is upon us—school, sports, community involvement, birthdays, holidays, etc. Which makes now the most vital time for my mission: slow down and notice the beauty, the life happening around us every single day.

Opening my eyes, my mind, and my heart to the small but magical and fascinating things that are right outside your front door.

A cardinal family, garden pests and their predators, critters of all kinds, an eclipse—all the little things that pass us by every day.

I want to share glimpses of the things I’ve begun to notice. Tell the stories that unfold right outside my small-town front door.
